THE UK MUST TAKE MORE AFGHAN REFUGEES

5,000 Afghan refugees is nowhere near enough - the UK must do more.

The UK government’s recently-announced plan to resettle just 5,000 Afghan people this year is utterly inadequate. Under Taliban rule, widespread ‘disappearances’ have already begun, with women and girls, artists, activists, journalists, LGBTIQ+ people now in imminent danger.

While the UK government has set out a plan to take 20,000 refugees over the next five years, people are in grave danger right now. People cannot wait years to reach safety - we must act now.

Please tell your MP that 5,000 people is not enough. As caring, welcoming people, we must help bring more people to safety - before it’s too late.
