Tell your MP: don't detain modern slavery survivors

Modern slavery survivors are already ‘slipping through the net’ and ending up behind bars due to their immigration status. Now the Government is proposing new powers to hold people in prison-like immigration detention settings, even when they are recognised as potential survivors of slavery.

Write to your MP and ask them to support Early Day Motion (EDM) 1696 which calls for a stop to these changes and protects the minimal safeguards in place for trafficking survivors.

On the next page there is a letter with some suggested text to send to your MP - if your MP has already signed the EDM it will contain a message thanking them for their support.
